You'll notice in the photos the additions are color coded and wider making them easier to view. Today I will be working on creating a self installing file to make the process easier for those individuals who are not as computer literate as others. (This required several months of evaluating different programs and their abilities to find the best fit for me and my projects) They are added to Mapsource and Basecamp which I then use to transfer to my GPS Units (Zumo and Nuvi) or in the case of the GoldWing directly to the SD Card. The map making process involves using several programs together to create the resulting file. img file loaded as gmapsupp.img in the Garmin directory. Eventually I discovered a program that allowed me to unlock my copied SD Card. Garmin locks them to the SD card serial number. Adding my maps went fairly easy but the Garmin detailed map (City Navigator 2009) was locked. Initially I copied the original SD card to a larger 8gig card to do my testing and preserve the original. Hoping you have answers or suggestions for me. From what I am witnessing the GoldWing/Garmin navigation system is about useless compared to your other products. Is this due to the firmware in the GoldWing unit or am I missing something? It also appears that it will not work with gpx files so I am unable to create routes using mapsource or basecamp prior to a trip.

Garmin poi loader no valid file found gpx install#
I have used POI Loader to install custom POI in the Zumo and am trying to do the same with the GoldWing units SD card, however once the sd card is reinstalled nothing appears. I also have a Garmin Zumo 550 and a Nuvi 1300. I have a 2010 Honda GoldWing with Garmin Navigation system. You must use the Honda Goldwing Trip Planner to transfer POI's to the Honda system. Thank you for contacting Garmin International.
